Harveys Half Hour

Harveys Over Orange

‘Take a moment just for you: take a Harveys Half Hour’

The Harveys Half Hour is about taking some ‘me-time’ out every day to regroup. Taking half an hour out every day to do something just for you is good for the soul. This is your chance to seize the day and indulge in your favourite pastime. For the ultimate indulgence whilst enjoying your Harveys Half Hour, treat yourself to a refreshing glass of Harveys Bristol Cream® over ice with a slice of orange.

Bev is a mum of two grown-up daughters from Bristol. She works part time for the Department for Work and Pensions and lives in a four bed detached house with her husband of 31 years Mike and their manic but madly-affectionate Jack Russell, Minnie.

Bev emailed us her Harveys Half Hour and won a bottle of Harveys Bristol Cream. Email us yours This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and you could do the same.

Here’s how Bev spent her Harveys Half Hour this week:

Sunday

Sunday afternoons are generally quite busy for me, despite being deemed the day of rest. I cook a roast dinner every week for my daughters, their partners, my husband and father-in-law so after 4pm I’m confined to spending the next two hours in a hot and sticky kitchen. Before I get stuck into the dinner, I like to take time out to bake a nice desert. My daughters’ favourite is pineapple upside down cake so this week I spent my Harveys Half Hour baking a treat for her.

Monday

In between cleaning, visiting my mother-in-law and entertaining the rather energetic Minnie, there are times when I really need half an hour to do something for me. If time is tight this can simply mean a nice cuppa in front of the TV. I really enjoy watching antiques programmes like Bargain Hunt and always wonder how much money I could make if I was on the show and dream about how to spend it!

Tuesday

My sisters and I are very close and when I have time off from work we like to spend some time together. This week, we got together for a nice pub lunch. My sister Judith and I have only recently returned from our holiday to France so over lunch we shared our holiday snaps and relived those happy memories.
