Harveys Half Hour
‘Take a moment just for you: take a Harveys Half Hour’
Louise is a busy, young professional, living in Leeds with her housemate and juggling a job, boyfriend and hectic social life.
Most days are taken up with the challenge of being a Psychologist; a varied job that always keeps her interested, motivated and on her toes. However, especially with high-stress jobs, everyone needs to take the time to relax and clear their head.
For this reason Louise took up running six months ago, starting with Race For Life before successfully completing the Great North Run. She savours the time out from her frantic schedule, whether it’s an early morning run through the park before rush hour kicks in, a quick lap around the block at lunchtime or a refreshing wind-down on her way home.
These days everyone is caught up in the rush of life, but it’s important to prioritise our needs as well as others’ and doing something active is the perfect way to do this.
Louise and her running mates are currently training for the Edinburgh marathon. In the run-up to a big race she manages her diet carefully to ensure she gets all the necessary nutrients and energy to commit to the challenge; and stays off alcohol for a month before!
She wrote in to tell us that whilst appreciating the rare chance to be a spectator at the Bristol half marathon, she enjoyed a glass of Harveys Bristol Cream; a fitting treat in a city steeped in Harveys history.
We wish her the best of luck, and hope a glass of Harveys Bristol Cream over ice with a slice of orange is the perfect celebration drink on completing her next running challenge!
